Text Message Terms
Last Updated: September 30, 2026
CareMakers Collective™, a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, sends text messages only to people who ask for them. These terms apply to those messages.
1. How to sign up
Give us your mobile number and tick the optional text-message box when you reserve a seat for one of our events on caremakers.org, or on a pledge card at one of our events. Agreeing to receive texts is never required to buy a ticket or make a gift.
2. What we send
Invitations, reminders, and day-of details for our events; a secure link to complete a gift you pledged; thank-you messages; donation requests; and updates on our programs and volunteer opportunities. Every message begins with "CareMakers Collective:".
3. How often, and what it costs
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
4. Stopping texts and getting help
- Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts. We will send one message confirming that you have opted out, and we will not text you again unless you reply START. Reply HELP for help, or email info@caremakers.org.
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Your privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service provider that delivers our messages, and only so that it can deliver them.
For more, read our Privacy Policy.
